Yoga for the Athlete

Yoga Sculpt is designed as a bridge to bring fitness enthusiasts into the world of yoga. Our formula for teaching is meant to perfectly complement the stresses and load placed on the body through toning and endurance training, help elongate the muscles to prevent bulking, and incorporate mindfulness to help with achieving wellness related goals.

In our comprehensive course, you will be certified in Yoga Sculpt, and also learn how to adapt classic yoga styles such as Yin and Vinyasa for group fitness participants that are already working out on a regular basis. You'll learn practical tools to start teaching right away, incorporate theming and multiple levels of intensity for a well-rounded approach to yoga for fitness centers.

Opportunity to Teach Completing our certification will license you to teach Yoga Sculpt, Yoga Fundamentals, Recovery & Stretch, and Flow classes with a specialization in teaching fitness populations. Classes are specifically formulated to complement workouts 

Get Started Right Away Traditional YTT Programs involve a 200 hour commitment and $3k+ investment. This program will focus on practical and technical aspects if teaching and provide you the resources and optional post-program mentorship to get you into your teaching pants. You should pursue a 200-hr Yoga Alliance approved certification in the future if yoga becomes a huge part of your career :)

Serve a Target Market that needs you Fitness clientele often need yoga the most to balance the tightening aspects of their workout routine. This certification focuses around finding perfect balance in yin and yang and gives a complementary workout to common fitness programs such as HIIT and bootcamp.

2-Day Training Workshop Two full days of concentrated and focused training include:

DAY 2: Practice co-teaching each format, Stepping into your identity as a yoga teacher, Building your yoga business or career, Yoga Philosophy and Alignment 102, Classic Hands-on Adjustments, Deepen your Verbal Cue vocabulary, Guided Meditation, How to Use Provided Resources, Theming Resources

Optional Continuing Ed Continue Practice Teaching and getting feedback up to 3 months from the certification if you are interested in employment. Continued Mentorship in the form of attending regular classes and discussing before and after. Optional yoga teacher pathway and business strategy session. Free access to esources

About Yoga Sculpt

Sara Hoffman founded Yoga Sculpt certification in 2018 as a way to bring fitness - lovers the mind-body experience of yoga. People who are consistently training and fatiguing their muscles and stressing their bodies, need flexibility-promoting aspects of yoga even more than your basic human! After a decade of teaching classic physical fitness and dance classes she found herself in lots of physical pain with lots of tension and stress held in her ever-shortening muscles. She began to bulk and found yoga as not only a way to lengthen the muscles for a slimmer dancer's body look but also increase her mindfulness in life and in the kitchen while relieving pain and tension.

She holds over 10 different fitness certifications as well as being a certified RYT-200. After going through the long and enriching process, she also wanted to make a more comprehensive, practical and accessible certification to make certification less of an investment for instructors to start teaching and see if teaching is right for them. With her daily schedule as a barre and cardio sculpt instructor, she found herself suffering through yoga classes that were stressing instead of stretching repetitive muscle groups from her other workouts. .She started designing population-specific classes at her job as the Franchise Director of Yoga & Barre for REd Effect Infrared, as she found the majority of the participants in her classes were coming in from spin, interval training, barre or kickboxing and needed something to truly complement these other programs. When you are already incorporating endurance training and sculpting, weightlifting activities in their fitness programs, the type of yoga you need is just different - not harder, or easier - but different specific poses and lengths.

Maintaining flexibility while maintaining strength and tone helps build long and LEAN muscle tone. Yoga Sculpt is an incredible mash-up format that allows hand weights and body weight training in conjunction with vinyasa flow to help introduce the workout person to flowing in a more structured way. We also offer three complementary programs but focus on this groundbreaking and popular new style that merges the world of fitness and yoga, for when you can't decide between a workout and yoga practice, and the perfect introduction to yoga for the fitness enthusiasts.
